King Charles III series of commemorative coins for New Zealand Post
celebrating the Coronation of a King.
Fuller.Studio were asked by New Zealand Post to design and illustrate a collectable series of six coins, four Gold and two silver mint including the packages and certificates for those. We were honoured to be involved with this project which was made even more prestigious for us, when I was asked to illustrate the effigy of the King for the reverse side of the coins, which as it happens, will now go on to adorn the collectable coins yet to be produced by the New Zealand Post for the foreseeable future.
It’s not every day you get to put your initials next to an effigy of the reigning monarch.
The two Silver coins included full colour, one which was to use a Photograph of King Charles III pictured Suited in his Ambassador role and the other coin we chose to show the King in the uniform of the Scots Guards for which I did a Painting that is shown below.
